Why this exists
Social work spans classrooms, clinics, hospitals, schools, public agencies, and community organizations. Decisions that look similar on a search page can lead to very different work. Social Work Rankings was built to make those choices easier to inspect in one place.
We organize the site around four decisions: where to learn, what tools to use, where to work, and how to keep moving through licensure and continuing education. Rankings are useful when they explain the question they answer. That is why every list includes its criteria, source trail, and distinct writing for every entry.
Our editorial approach
We use direct program, product, association, and government sources. We value a clear fit for the reader over prestige alone or a long feature checklist. Our methodology explains the full process, and our editorial standards explain independence and corrections.
